The property has launched a protocol for the protection of personnel: training, prevention, protection, sanitation and supplementary insurance against Covid-19 infection.
Rovigo, 14 April 2020 – Mario Orfei CEO of Roiter, the company specialized in the large-scale production of high-quality industrial pipes, for the protection and safety of its employees, has gone beyond the standards dictated by the emergency legislation passed in this last period: «We are aware that at this moment it is difficult to carry out any type of activity – explains Mario Orfei who in 2018 with Matec Group took over the company from the Austrians – Exactly for this reason we feel to express gratitude for the attachment to the company that our staff is showing. As a tangible sign of all this, we have activated supplementary insurance for each of our employees. The contract stipulated with Generali Insurance will allow all the employees of our industrial group to be supported in case of need against illness and convalescence from Covid 19 ».
The policy is effective from 16 March 2020 and will be valid until 31 December 2020. The measure is in addition to all the initiatives that Roiter has put in place against Covid-19: “We immediately activated smart working – explains Mario Orfei, ambassador of the Made in Italy in the world – only one employee is present in strategic offices such as administration and logistics. In the production departments we have launched even firmer rules than those imposed by Ministerial Decrees.
The minimum distance to be kept is 2 meters and the use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. In the bathrooms we have alternated the services to ensure an adequate distance. All our staff body temperature – Mario Orfei continues – is taken in and out, adequate training has been done, and we have also staggered entry and exit times, in order to avoid queues for badge registration. Only the plant manager is phisically present. Only by thinking about our employees and their families we can continue ».
Doors open also to workers’ representatives: «For a relationship of transparency and collaboration – concludes the dynamic Milanese entrepreneur – we have invited the Trade Union to visit our company, in order to personally verify the great attention we pay to the safety of our staff on the topic Covid-19. Some of them replied that they never questioned the safety of Roiter workers. This is a source of pride for us, because our Group has always been successful in international markets precisely because of the great professionalism and competence of those who work there, for us our employees are a heritage to be defended. Our first thought was not “when” to reopen, but “how” to reopen».
